It is impossible to explain the matchless efficacy or unparalleled glory of Christ's blood apart from a biblical understanding of the most paramount aspect of what Christ, God the Logos, had delivered the elect from (Hell) for the glory of the Triune God. Thus, the biblical doctrine of Hell is not among adiaphora; it is essential because it describes and accentuates the unprecedented power and eternal value of the blood of the Lamb.

Per Scripture, the nature of Hell entails conscious torment for an unending duration (Matt. 13:42; 25:41, 46; Mark 9:44; 2 Thess. 1:9; Rev. 14:10; 20:15). Reprobates will inevitably face this eternal or second death because the Father actively predestined their perdition, and the Son did not die in their place or stead. As such, God's particular people know the depths, riches, and infinite power of Christ's blood and what He saved them from. No one could accomplish this task except the Eternal Son, Christ incarnate.

If one denies the biblical view of Hell, i.e., eternal conscious torment, then the eternal merit and value of Christ's death are maligned or blasphemed. For example, cultists or annihilationists think Hell means the wicked will one day face annihilation or cease to exist. If this view were accurate, which it is not, then Christ merely saved His elect from what God-denying professing atheists think takes place at death, namely, non-existence. Hence, annihilationism that renders people into non-existence is truly a godless position.

God's Word commands faithful ministers to protect their flocks from cultists like the Jehovah's Witnesses and annihilationists, etc. Yet, hireling preachers, most of whom will deceptively say they believe in the biblical view of Hell (ECT), will not try to mark and avoid these wolves. Instead, these useless pawns will welcome them into their folds by doing the following:

Hireling preachers will welcome annihilationists as regular attendees of their churches and tell them to keep quiet about what they believe rather than marking and avoiding them, as the Bible states.

Useless pawns will accept annihilationists into their Bible studies. And they will mislead critics into thinking it is because they want (supposedly) to give the truth to annihilationists. Yet, they remain silent or intentionally vague on the topic of biblical Hell, and will never refer to the words “eternal conscious torment.”

They will play sides: On one hand, they will say they affirm ECT to sound orthodox and to appease any friends who hold to the truth of Hell as ECT. However, on the other hand, they will never preach on Hell and will not give a biblical definition on what Hell truly means [ECT]. Rather, they choose to merely give lip service to passages on the final judgment, play dumb on the nature and duration of Hell, or use inclusive terms to describe the afterlife so they do not lose their annihilationist audience or offend the cultists that they have welcomed into their assemblies or fellowship groups. Again, they have failed to show where they truly stand on Hell or ECT. How convenient!

Some hirelings will tell friends that they do affirm reprobation and say "amen" to preachers who faithfully explain this truth, yet they have never preached a sermon on the topic. Their messages on Romans 9 reveal that they blatantly deny the biblical view of active and unconditional reprobation, evidencing an epitome of double-mindedness and deception.

In some sovereign grace circles, a few will appeal to redundantly or merely saying the "righteousness of Christ" at least fifty times in every sermon as a shibboleth or maintain that as long as one affirms righteousness, nothing else matters. This is an undoubted functional Unitarian ploy and mental sleight of hand. This gimmick is how functional Unitarians and hirelings have defended the heretic and sovereign grace pope, Henry Mahan, for so long. Mahan once stood with the “Christ made sin” [apart from Imputation] heretics, and he defended Billy Graham as a Christian. Yet, Mahan’s cohorts remain intentionally silent to this day and will never speak publicly about it because Mahan said "righteousness" in most of his sermons, and his brainwashed followers give him a pass. Nonetheless, Mahan fanboys will still favorably quote him or share his sermons with others without any disclaimer. It goes to show what incessantly saying "righteousness" truly means to the hirelings or defenders of Mahan. It is a mantra without meaning: Mahan’s Meaningless Mantra!

Moreover, useless pawns for the cultists will maintain that one's view of Hell is not a gospel issue? Again, biblical illiteracy at its finest! What else is the gospel but Christ’s efficacious work of delivering His elect from the eternal conscious punishment that awaits all the reprobate? Apart from the doctrine of Hell, it is impossible to fully describe the doctrine of propitiation, or highlight the eternal significance of Christ's blood, or articulate what He delivered the elect from solely to the glory of God.

Propitiation emphasizes the Son's accomplishment of placating the Father's wrath in the stead of His sheep (Rom. 3:25; 1 John 4:10). Does the eternal God's wrath entail the mere annihilation or the cessation of one's existence as the cultists suggest? On this view, the punishment does not fit the description of the Eternal Punisher, as this cultist opinion makes no sense in light of Heb. 10:31: "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." Interestingly, atheists—who say "God does not exist"—do not believe God's wrath is fearful because they, like annihilationists, think death merely renders one into non-existence. Yet, in Scripture, the wicked would rather die or forever cease than face the wrath of God (cf. Rev. 6:16; 9:5-6). At the bottom line: God's wrath is fearful because it entails eternal conscious punishment (Matt. 25:46). Thus, when the Son suffered and placated the Father's wrath in the stead of His sheep (Is. 53:1ff), His death was equivalent to consciously suffering as the object of the Father's wrath for an unending duration.

Only Christians understand the eternal value of Christ's blood and know what the Savior delivered the elect from to the glory of God alone. Hirelings and annihilationists do not! As proof, how is the eternal value of Christ's blood unparalleled and matchless? And what did the Son redeem His elect from to the glory of God alone? Put another way, the way one defines "death" in Heb. 2:14 will reveal those who know the biblical responses to these questions. In Heb. 2:14, Christ delivered the sheep from "the power of death." Death, according to Scripture, is rendered in the following ways: physical (John 11:21), spiritual (Eph. 2:1), and the "second [eternal] death" (Rev. 20:14). This latter in particular is popularly known as eternal conscious torment ("everlasting punishment," Matt. 25:46). Also, there is legal death, as noted in the following two components: death to sin (Rom. 6:11) and death to the law (Rom. 7:4). So, in Heb. 2:14, "death" refers to the totality of death. Thus, God's elect will never experience Hell because Christ redeemed them from the power of Hell. Hell, therefore, describes the death of Christ as unparalleled and matchless because He delivered them from eternal conscious torment—a task only the God-Man could accomplish. In contrast, the wicked will go to Hell because God decreed the predestination of the goats in eternity and the Son never appeased the Father's wrath in their place. Yet, cultists think "death" entails annihilationism. Per this cultist belief, the Jesus of annihilationism delivered the saints from the cessation of existence or mere temporal unconscious torment. This godless view is not matchless or unparalleled because godless atheists believe the same thing.

Therefore, if you hear a so-called minister say, "I preach Christ," do not be fooled into sympathy. Rather, ask this person if he has ever explained in a sermon what "Christ preached" on Hell, given that Christ taught on Gehenna more than anyone in Scripture (Matt. 5:22, 29-30; 10:28; 18:9; 23:15, 33; Mark 9:43, 45, 47; Luke 12:5). You will be surprised.

Furthermore, when a professing gospel preacher says he preaches Christ crucified, ask this person if the crucifixion or death of Christ has saved His elect from annihilation or eternal conscious torment. His response will reveal what he genuinely believes about the eternal significance of Christ's blood. If this person claims to affirm ECT, ask them to supply proof. It should not be too hard, especially for those who love to say "riiiiiighteousness." But it may be evident that little is actually disclosed about the Biblical doctrine of Hell.

Righteousness, by the way, is the heartbeat of the gospel, emphasizing the propitiatory and substitutionary blood of the Savior in the stead of His elect. A man not willing to say Christ saved His sheep from ECT knows truly little about the nature of, or matchless efficacy of, or eternal significance of the blood of the Lamb. He is thus biblically illiterate on what righteousness, i.e., penal obedience, truly means.

To the hireling preacher, whom I messaged recently, you are welcome to respond. I know more now about your deceptive practices than I ever did before, and I welcome your response, man to man, for all to see (on your own page, of course). I definitely will respond to you.
