It should be noted that Gagan 'Bobby' Singh has a documented history of disseminating misinformation on social media with impunity, frequently deleting his posts after publication. Nevertheless, several of these records have been preserved for further analysis. His recent post, dated February 28, 2026 [click here], was taken down once this letter was published.

I. Introduction

Recently, a former member of Trinity Gospel Church (TGC), Gagan 'Bobby' Singh of Louisville, Kentucky, whom the members of TGC had unanimously voted to excommunicate per Matthew 18, has subsequently, in our opinion, taken to social media to allege various issues against certain members of TGC. His statement [click here], "I'm going to take it upon myself to expose all those fake , [sic] self-righteous, sanctimonious, and delusional fools, who operate under the facade of righteousness and godliness until their masks come off at an appropriate time,” appears to be one example of public grandstanding designed to garner attention or support.

Recent developments since the excommunication are noted here for the sake of the reader’s clarity [for example, click here]. Although we delivered our excommunication letter to him on January 13, 2026, we have no record of Bobby reaching out to any TGC leader or member to discuss his newly raised issues or popular buzzwords, such as “legalistic” preaching or “cult-like” attitudes, before that date. Instead, the evidence below demonstrates that these newfound grievances emerged only after he received the notice— we can only speculate as to why this is so!

Following the members’ vote to excommunicate Bobby Singh, our leadership initially intended to keep all details regarding his departure confidential, as our primary focus remains rooted in the biblical principles of restoration and reconciliation. However, in light of Mr. Singh’s recent actions—which appear to target TGC—it has now become necessary to provide a detailed and factual account of his history with TGC to set the record straight.

In our opinion, Mr. Singh's public attack—which appears to target TGC—has forced us to respond; what we share will be shocking to many. To adequately respond to his allegations, we provide evidence regarding Bobby's membership, disciplinary matters at TGC, and the final Matthew 18 hearing. During that hearing, he admitted to maligning members of TGC, lying on social media to be the "center" of attention or to appease friends, using slurs towards black people at TGC, and making vile jokes about a friend at church. In addition, we will provide a retort to his newly public claims. This section of the response to Bobby will demonstrably show that he is even lying to his sympathizers and supporters about his duplicitous claims on social media.

II. Membership

Bobby began attending TGC in 2021. However, it soon became evident that he was concurrently attending the Mount Washington Church of Christ, misleading both congregations to believe he was fully committed to their distinct theological frameworks. This dual involvement was untenable, as TGC and the Church of Christ maintain antithetical positions on fundamental doctrines. Following a formal discussion regarding these theological differences, Bobby was exhorted to cease his deceptive practices. He subsequently withdrew from the Church of Christ to attend TGC exclusively. During a Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026, Bobby addressed this period of dual attendance and characterized the congregants of the Mount Washington Church of Christ as “heretics.” This will be demonstrated by the evidence provided later in this document.

Following approximately two years of attendance at TGC, Bobby publicly stated on social media that the preaching had "regenerated" him [click here]. Consequently, on October 26, 2023, he was emailed a copy of the church’s bylaws—a comprehensive document outlining the mission, statement of faith, membership qualifications, covenant responsibilities, dismissal procedures, lifestyle standards, discipline, and governance. Bobby replied on October 28, 2023, stating [click here - emails redacted], "A very precious and beautiful document, and I concur with each and everything stated in the document." Following his explicit affirmation of these doctrines, he was officially accepted as a member of TGC on November 19, 2023. Therefore, he was thoroughly informed regarding the church's theological convictions, philosophy of ministry, and commitment to the doctrines of sovereign and free grace.

Again, in the years leading up to his January 13, 2026, excommunication, Bobby consistently maintained a positive public and private discourse regarding the ministry’s preaching [for example, see 2024 public comments, and 2025 voicemail]. He frequently lauded its messages and affirmed a sincere commitment to TGC—a sentiment explicitly reinforced during his Matthew 18 hearing (January 8, 2026), as detailed later in this document.

III. Disciplinary Issues at TGC

Following his excommunication, Bobby's public discourse suggested that members of TGC attempted to exert total control over his personal conduct and communication [click here]. However, this narrative omits the critical components showing that he had previously and repeatedly solicited accountability from church leadership and members, citing his own reported struggles with dishonesty and impulsive behavior. This letter will later provide evidence for these statements.

Attention-Seeking

Bobby has requested personal accountability regarding his habitual attention-seeking behaviors [for instance, click here]. This request was extended to other church members as well; notably, elder-in-training Joel Van Tassel described an instance on February 9, 2025, in which Bobby "calls me and Sonny into the book room to tell us he has a severe problem with seeking attention (mostly with Facebook posts) and wants us to help him by holding him accountable." While Van Tassel provided consistent guidance, which Bobby initially appeared to accept, these commitments were eventually disregarded. Bobby’s continued online behavior contradicted his previous assurances, ultimately leading to a formal rebuke from Joel sometime around late February, 2025 [click here], for his lack of integrity and persistence in the original behavior. Additionally, Steve Evans, a TGC elder, consistently advised Bobby to focus on the gospel rather than social media attention; however, these efforts proved futile [click here].

Bad Theology

Moreover, from a theological perspective, it should not surprise anyone that Bobby has been held accountable on many occasions, especially when posting theology contrary to the Scriptures on the internet. For instance, he rightly wrote some truths on the internet regarding one God in three distinct persons. Still, he then contradicted himself when he subsequently noted, "All three persons of the trinity [sic] are Gods who are distinct from one another" (bold emphasis added). Apart from correction, per the evidence, his post would have displayed some truths about the Trinity as well as the heresy of polytheism. Instead, Bobby was corrected with love, recognizing it was likely a typo. He responded by acknowledging it was, and he expressed that he rejoices when receiving correction. This is one of many examples of when I have reached out to Bobby regarding theology, and he has consistently thanked me [click here] —which is consistent with what Bobby agreed to in TGC's bylaws.

As a member of TGC, I am held accountable to the church members but will hold others responsible to the standards of the Holy Bible (Proverbs 27:17; Romans 14:12; Hebrews 4:13), Lord willing.

Despite Bobby's feigned acceptance of correction, his repetitive pattern of posting unsound theology, recanting upon correction, and subsequently repeating the behavior proved problematic. Nonetheless, I continued to instruct him in Scripture, consistently treating him with love and respect. Indeed, during his Matthew 18 hearing before the members of TGC on January 8, 2026, Bobby stated "not at all" when asked if his pastor had ever treated him harshly in private, adding, "You've always been more than kind to me." This letter will later provide evidence for these statements. However, following his excommunication on January 13, 2026—just five days later—Bobby's narrative regarding his treatment changed drastically.

Slurs

For an extended period, Bobby has demonstrated a pattern of prejudice against African Americans at TGC. Throughout 2024 and 2025, he frequently employed slurs and derogatory epithets, including the "n-word" and "monkeys." Despite taking place at church in front of TGC members, this behavior persisted for a while, necessitating regular correction and rebuke.

To illustrate Bobby's attention-seeking behavior, he initially used racial slurs—specifically the "n-word" and "monkeys"—as a method of provocation, later attempting to reframe these outbursts as jokes to mitigate backlash [for example, click here]. Subsequently, his behavior escalated to employing such slurs in sensitive contexts, including church services and street preaching events. The following account from TGC member J. Van Tassel provides firsthand evidence of this conduct:

One Lord's Day, Bobby made a comment about the black people worshiping down the hall from us and quietly called them "monkeys" thinking he was being funny. On more than one occasion, Bobby would tell us that he used to say to his friends, "What's up my [slur redacted]," as just something they would all say to each other.

In response to his egregious actions, Bobby was confronted according to Matthew 18, requested to cease using vile, foul language at church, and instructed to stop employing slurs against African Americans [click here]. Bobby did not deny the allegations; instead, he acknowledged his wrongdoings and asked for forgiveness [click here].

To provide necessary context, one instance of Bobby's use of slurs occurred when the hotel housing TGC leased a different conference room to an African congregation. Although this assembly was loud and their theology supposedly aligned with the heresy of 'will-worship,' Bobby's disparagement of them as "monkeys" was objectively egregious. While he subsequently issued an apology, his pattern of alternating between sinful rhetoric and contrition suggests a serious ongoing pattern rather than an isolated setback. For example, after street preaching at an LGBT event in Lexington, Kentucky, Bobby appeared upset with a black man and attempted to mock him to J. Van Tassel, a fellow member of TGC. According to Van Tassel,

On June 28, 2025, Sonny, Bobby, and I did street evangelism at the Lexington Pride Day. Bobby made a crass joke using the "N" word, for which I told him he did not need to be saying because it was not funny.

On numerous occasions, Bobby received biblical instruction on the serious issue of disparaging black individuals. However, by the middle of 2025, it seemed that his habitual pattern—uttering slurs, offering apologies, and subsequently disregarding spiritual counsel—persisted. This sinful cycle of recidivism raised significant concerns regarding the potential risk his conduct posed to the members of TGC, including children. These concerns were formally addressed during Bobby’s Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026, where he admitted to the use of slurs towards black people; this admission is further corroborated by evidence presented later in this article. Notably, in the months preceding the hearing, there were no reported instances of Bobby using slurs within the TGC community, suggesting a cessation of these derogatory remarks in that specific environment.

Disparagement and Lies

Finally, Bobby demonstrated recklessness by disparaging one of his friends after worship and concocting, in our opinion, baseless stories of abuse against his sibling—behaviors witnessed by several members of TGC.

Initially, following a Lord's Day service in 2025, Bobby disparaged a personal acquaintance, Les, by using abusive language [click here]. As this was not an isolated incident [for example, click here], the act resulted in a disciplinary matter for which Bobby was held accountable. Although the individual has no affiliation with TGC, the timing and nature of the offense prompted action. In response, Bobby offered a confession, albeit accompanied by justifications [click here]. This issue was subsequently addressed during Bobby's Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026, where evidence—to be presented later in this letter—confirms his admission of guilt.

Lastly, for several years at TGC, Bobby frequently discussed his sibling, with whom he resides. Bobby's usage of terms such as "narcissistic" and "controlling" was not unusual, as these appeared to be his default arguments whenever he seemed upset with his sibling [click here]. In our opinion, even within the church context, Bobby seemed to fabricate narratives to elicit sympathy, often presenting allegations of physical abuse, such as being smacked in the face, that were inconsistent or unrealistic. These allegations were heard by two other TGC members. Per G. M. Fielding,

I have been a part of Trinity Gospel Church for five years, and have known Bobby Singh for roughly the same amount of time. During that time, he would repeatedly inform the congregants about dramatic events occurring within his life whether to seek validation or to garner sympathy. One such issue had to do with an alleged volatile relationship he was having with his brother. He would describe these occurrences as being rather violent, with his younger brother hitting and slapping him, and getting into physical altercations on an almost routine basis.

In addition, J. Van Tassel noted the following,

One Lord's Day, before service, Bobby told some of us that his brother had been smacking him around that week. We told Bobby that he needed to call the police if that was going on.

Several members of TGC consistently provided Bobby with counsel, frequently advising him to involve law enforcement. However, in our opinion, his accounts of physical altercations—specifically claims of being struck in the face—regularly featured inconsistencies and contradictions. These discrepancies suggest a calculated effort to elicit sympathy and position himself as the focal point of the church. The following section will examine and verify this pattern of intentional fabrication, supported by Bobby’s own admissions.

IV. Matthew 18 - January 8, 2026

The following analysis examines the Matthew 18 Zoom hearing held on January 8, 2026, in light of Bobby's Facebook posts from early February 2026. Details of that call reveal Bobby as an admitted liar who used social media to spread falsehoods. Despite this, he continues to decline—even lying to his sympathizers in his February, 2026, posts—where, in our opinion, he apparently targets the ministry of TGC. This letter will later provide evidence for these claims.

For clarity and context, two Matthew 18 hearings occurred on January 8, 2026. According to the biblical model, the first was a private meeting in which Bobby confessed to slandering church members. Because this confession involved offenses against TGC members, a second hearing before the congregation was necessary—especially given Bobby's history of repeating the same wicked behavior after seeking forgiveness.

Matthew 18 - #1

Adhering to the Matthew 18 process, I initiated a private conversation with Bobby to address allegations regarding his false statements and to allow him to share his perspective. Bobby immediately expressed remorse, admitting that he made disparaging comments about TGC and its members to "fit in." Given the targeted nature of these remarks, combined with a established pattern of lying, asking for forgiveness, and repeating the behavior, I requested permission to record the conversation for transparency and to share it with the members. Bobby agreed to this request; the following recording serves as documentation of this exchange.

a. Consent to Record

Video #1

Pastor: "My name is Sonny Hernandez. I'm talking to Bobby Singh. Bobby, do I have your full permission right now to record this call and to share it with the brothers in the church?" Bobby: "Absolutely. Uh, without a doubt."

b. Confession

The recorded call features several instances in which Bobby admits to making false statements about TGC and its members; this is corroborated by the videos below:

Video #2

Pastor: "Do you acknowledge and confess that you did in fact slander our church and some of the members including myself?" Bobby: "Uh, yes, I do acknowledge that, and uh, I am acknowledging it in a way, um, because uh, not in a way, but uh, just to get the right words out of my mouth. I have this tendency to fit in, and I try to agree with everything everyone says, and that's going to be different from now on..."

Video #3

Pastor: "And do you acknowledge also that yes, you did slander me and other people in the church, including our whole church, by saying untrue things. You acknowledge those things, right?" Bobby: "I acknowledge those things. I accept them and I will accept responsibility for it.”

Video #4

Bobby: "I have uh the tendency to do people pleasing and uh I end up saying the wrong things at the wrong time, but it is not my intention to leave Trinity Gospel. But yes, I did uh I did slander our church..."

Video #5

Pastor: "Bobby, overall, just just for clarity again on this, do you believe that the main because just talking to you earlier, do you believe that one of the main reasons why you have slandered our church is because the need to fit in and to not have anybody get upset with you to where it's you do you feel that's kind of like a main issue?" Bobby: "That's kind of like a main issue. And um you know I have been a little bit timid in the past you know fear of losing friendship and all that but I don't want that I don't want to live like this and I want to change I don't want to be like this anymore and I it is frustrating and these are some of the weaknesses I need to work on and if my brothers would help me in any way I will be open to any suggestion."

Following the dialogue, I requested permission from Bobby to share the video with the congregation, to which he consented. Bobby affirmed that he was not coerced and was "absolutely" telling the "truth," citing the Holy Ghost as his witness. As demonstrated below, the evidence supports this claim.

Video #6

Pastor: "Bobby, two things for closing here. Um, do I have your permission and uh, you know, again just your permission to share this recorded video to the brothers uh, in the church? Do I have your permission to do that?" Bobby: "Absolutely. By all means." Pastor: "Okay. And then the second question, can you say with the Holy Spirit as your witness and as a believer in the gospel that your words today are truthful? They haven't been coerced; you did this willingly after we talked and uh and you feel that everything you've said on this call has been truthful before God." Bobby: "Absolutely. I'm afraid of God and I'm afraid of the Holy Spirit also and I will never lie and it is truthful beyond a doubt. It's truthful." Pastor: "I appreciate that, Bobby. Let me go ahead and stop the recording now. Bobby, give me one sec. Okay."

Matthew 18 - #2

Although Bobby’s initial Matthew 18 one-on-one procedure occurred late—shortly after midnight on January 8, 2026—the subsequent hearing involving approximately twelve members took place via Zoom that same evening. Upon joining the Zoom session, Bobby formally consented to the recording, as documented below.

Video #7

Pastor: "Okay, good. Let me give you a recap, Bobby. As you know, Bobby, um, what I'm going to do right now, Bobby, is obviously with yesterday, you remember I asked your permission to record, I asked your permission to share the video with the members of the church, right?" Bobby: "Yes."

a. Duplicity

The Zoom meeting with Bobby on January 8, 2026, served to validate the claims made in this paper through his recap of past transgressions and confessions of sinful practices at TGC.

To start, Bobby admitted to a period of theological duplicity during his first year at TGC, during which he attended an assembly with opposing doctrines while feigning loyalty to both. This duplicity concluded only when he left the alternative assembly, citing a subsequent experience of salvation

Video #8

Pastor: "Okay. So, um, you've been in our church now for roughly close to five years, right?" Bobby: "Yes." Pastor: "Okay. Um, initially when you first started our congregation, you were leading uh uh basically another church basically to believe that you were members of their church and you were leading us to believe that you were part of our church. But in reality, the other church you were attending denied the gospel. They believed in baptismal regeneration. They believed in one could lose their salvation and you were attending our church that teach the exact opposite that we condemn those views and that that issue was rectified. You wind up leaving that congregation and then uh subsequently you claimed that God saved you. Is that correct?" Bobby: "Yes."

b. Attention Struggles

Bobby confessed that he fabricates online stories to gain sympathy, attributing this behavior to a compulsive need for attention.

Video #9

Pastor: "Okay. Fast forward. I know we have had discussions with you before and I know you have been humble to acknowledge that you do struggle with trying to seek attention on the internet so much at times that you will fabricate stories and that you will mislead people for attention. You have acknowledged that, right?" Bobby: "Yes."

c. Accountability

During the Zoom meeting, Bobby admitted to reaching out to TGC members to request accountability regarding his tendencies toward people-pleasing and flattery.

Video #10

Pastor: "You've acknowledged also that you have reached out to members of the church and you have asked us to hold you accountable to help you in your struggles of people pleasing, flattery, and uh trying to uh fit in with crowds. You you've acknowledged that you've asked us to hold you accountable." Bobby: "That's correct."

d. Permission

Due to Bobby’s history of engaging in harmful practices, repenting, and then repeating them, he permitted me to share his struggles with the brothers at TGC for the purposes of prayer, support, and accountability.

Video #11

Pastor: "Another thing I want to bring up and as you know Bobby in the past when you brought that to my attention in the past I know you and I talked in detail and I asked your permission I said Bobby I want the brothers I don't want it just to be me helping you but I want the brothers in the church to help you. So there was once a time when I asked you I said Bobby can I get your permission just to talk to the brothers in the church so we all can come alongside and help you and I kept my promise on that. Do you acknowledge that I have done that for you?" Bobby: "Yes, absolutely."

e. Sinful Habit

As previously discussed, Bobby admitted to a habit of attending TGC on Sundays, where he frequently disparaged a close friend to members and visitors alike.

Video #12

Pastor: "Going back, I know we've dealt with issues where in the church I do you recall me telling you, Bobby, that it is highly inappropriate to come to church to badmouth friends. For example, you're friends with a guy named Les, but you always come to church and you badmouth him about his weight. Do you acknowledge this is something I've tried to tell you? We need to stop doing that." Bobby: "Yes."

f. Slurs

Additionally, as previously established in this correspondence, Bobby has a documented history of employing slurs towards black people—conduct he formally acknowledges in the video provided below. I have frequently offered biblical exhortations regarding the sinful nature of this language, incorporating both Scriptural guidance and formal rebukes. Furthermore, given his persistent recklessness, I communicated my concerns regarding how such rhetoric could jeopardize the safety of the assembly; these concerns were explicitly addressed with Bobby during our recent meeting via Zoom.

Video #13

Pastor: "Do you also acknowledge that we have had issues before too with the fact that you have used a lot of racial slurs like the n-word and monkey and stuff like this and we had to put a stop to that. And praise God, I I vouched for you to say that you haven't done that in a while. We we've stopped. I haven't heard any n-words from you. I haven't heard any monkey comments. I haven't heard any racial comments that. And the reason why I was tough on you before about that, Bobby, is because of the fact for safety in our congregation. We're leaving we're living in a time today where people will riot. Uh people have no problem harming others. And I have we have a responsibility to protect the people in this church that includes even having children in it. But do you acknowledge we've had those talks and that you have repented and you're not going back into that?" Bobby: "Yes. Okay. Absolutely."

g. Defense of Pastor

For transparency to the members of TGC, I told Bobby if he ever felt I had treated him harshly in any way to let the members of the church know, as I am accountable to them. In the video below, Bobby acknowledged that I have always treated him kindly.

Video #14

Pastor: "Okay. Now, I want everybody to hear this and I want you to feel to feel I want you to speak freely on this. Do you feel in any way have I ever come off on you harsh in any manner behind closed doors? And if I have, tell everybody right now these are the members of your church. I'm accountable to them, too." Bobby: "Not at all. You've always been more than kind to me."

h. Admitted Liar

Notably, during the Zoom meeting on January 8, 2026, Bobby openly confessed to fabricating stories and making false statements, attributing these actions to a desire for attention and external influence. Furthermore, he repeatedly sought forgiveness from TGC members and urgently pleaded for assistance—hear it from Bobby himself.

Video #15

Bobby: "Okay. Um well, I do apologize and I know that I've done wrong and I know I committed an egregious sin against the Bible and believe me, I don't want to live this way and I want to be different. I want to show uh signs of spiritual growth. And as it stands right now, I realize that I still have a lot of work to do and for hurting everyone's feelings by saying things that are untrue. I apologize very profusely and I hope that uh you can forgive me even though I haven't earned it yet. But I feel that I'm going to make small strides and improvements uh under your guidance, under your strict guidance because I want to learn how to be a better uh Christian." (bold emphases added).

Video #16

"But all I ask for is your forgiveness and give me a chance and guide me uh to overcome this problem. The problem that I have right now is the desire to seek people's approval and to be a center of attention. Even though for a short while when I managed to become a center of attention and validated in some form or fashion, uh it feels good temporarily. But then the guilt begins to hit me though. I do feel guilty about my actions, but I want to overcome this. And right now on my own I'm on my own, you know, I feel weak right now and I need your help and any advice that you can give me or any guidance that you can give me will be much appreciated and knowing that we are all family." (bold emphases added).

Video #17

"And regardless, one of the things I said to someone, I'm leaving the church, too. I was wrongfully influenced. I have this tendency like when somebody talks against someone, I have this tendency to agree too much with others. And then, you know, I I conjure up some uh false stories. Oh, yeah. Um, I'm planning on leaving this church to just to impress them. But in the long in the long term, um, it's like I didn't impress God, but I impressed the outside world. And I am well aware that if a person seeks the validation of the world, he's an abomination to God. I don't want to be that person. And I am really tired of being that person. And I need help right now. And I from the bottom of my heart, I apologize to all of you. I know I offended a lot of you and deceived a lot of you in doing so. But it's just this tendency that gets the best of me and it gets me in trouble. And there are times when I before I sleep at night, it begins to haunt me. And even though I realize it, then the next day it comes out automatically. Um I make up wrong uh false stories. Um I say, "Hey, guess what happened today?" Even though it it may not be true, but just to impress someone. I don't want to impress I I don't want to feel like I need to falsely impress people." (bold emphases added).

i. Immaturity

Furthermore, Bobby repeatedly sought forgiveness from the TGC members, attributing his actions to a personal struggle with immaturity. He expressed a sincere desire for reform and questioned his spiritual standing, specifically considering whether he might be a reprobate.

Video #18

"There are times that it crossed my mind that why am I repeating these sinful behavioral patterns. Could it be that I I could be a possible reprobate or my heart has hardened? But I do feel some guilt um in doing all this because deep down inside it does occur to me that the way I'm behaving is immature and I need to change that especially at my age. I need to change all this. So I accept full responsibility for this behavior and I rely on you to guide me and uh be my guide." (bold emphasis added).

j. Final Plea

Lastly, in his final plea to the members of TGC, Bobby vowed to remain a faithful member, stressed his commitment, lauded the preaching at TGC as the "gospel," and continued to plead for help. He also spoke vehemently about his past double-mindedness in attending two assemblies simultaneously, even referring to the people at Mount Washington Church of Christ as "depraved" and "heretics."

Video #19

"...and I'm not leaving and I'm not leaving Trinity Gospel Church and I tell you it's my promise I love Trinity Gospel Church so much and that's the reason why I was attending both Trinity Gospel as well as Mount Washington during those uh initial um during my incept I was doing it secretly and I felt like um in a way that's a betrayal too. I was doing it secretly and even though I was only doing it I know that those people were depraved and they were heretics and they had all kinds of wrong theologies. And when I used to point out the fact that I felt that I was re I was uh changed by God, I felt that it's the sovereignty of God that changed me. I was uh always criticized and yet I was staying there because I thought I might offend my friends and uh because I had close friends over there too. But then Sonny made me realize that I should not stay in church to appease friends especially when they are engaging in false uh theology uh that are not that is not biblical at all. So I decided that uh okay it's time to leave those friends but continue to pray that uh God gives them uh some spiritual awakening and opens their eyes and soften their heart to believe in the truth. But the thing is that I still when I started listening to Sonny's sermons, I believed that Sonny was absolutely true. But I was conflicted at that time. So now, do I still want to attend Mount Washington Church of Christ because I have so many friends over there and it's going to tear me up to leave them? Um, that's exactly what was going on. And that's the reason. But I'm not going to make any excuses. But this is the honest to God truth. Had I not have liked Sonny's church, I would not have even stayed there. But I loved Sonny's church. It somehow attracted me to come there because I feel that Sonny never compromises the truth of the gospel. But they didn't even allow me to be the light. um you know based upon what I learned uh in Sonny's church in our Trinity Gospel church they never allowed me to be the light because they would reject the sovereignty of God. uh but still me staying there despite all this uh indicates my lack of integrity but I decided Sonny made made me come to a realization that this should not continue otherwise I'm actually uh operating against God. So basically, that's one of the reasons why I was living a deceptive life. You know, I was being two-faced. But I know that this would be caught one way or another. And I'm glad that it was caught. And I'm glad that Sunny held me responsible. But based on the way I'm behaving at at present, um I just want to overcome this weakness so I could be a stronger person. and a true man of integrity uh which God expects. Uh I mean uh that's the thing that God expects of us. So I rely on your help and I rely on your guidance to help me be that man uh who pleases God instead of the world." (bold emphasis added).

k. Closing Remarks

For the closing comments, Bobby was informed of the need to stop spreading lies, the value of much-needed fruit, and the ongoing commitment to fulfill his repeated requests for help.

Video #20

Pastor: "We're going to set up plans to offer you guidance and I really believe we can give you some good guidance on this. Okay." Bobby: "That's right." Pastor: "I really believe that if you're asking for help, we're going to help you. And uh um going forward, again, remember what I said earlier. I'm I'm asking that this does cease and desist. It can't keep going on any longer, Bobby. Because I think there's a point coming to where Yeah. If you do have that much of a habit of lying that much that excessive where it doesn't cease, then there's a point to where if you know, is your goal a long term to come into a church, slander it to where it loses any ounce of reputation it has in a community and then you just keep saying, "I'm sorry." It it it's going to it's going to kill a church. And biblically, we have a responsibility to put a stop to that. Okay? So, I'm hoping this will be some fruit that will come forth that you will cease and that you will listen to the guidance that we do give you this time because I think there are some obstacles in your way that are the means of by which you have been taking advantage of opportunities to to seek attention for yourself. So, we're going to help you. Okay, you have my word on that."

In summary, during the January 8, 2026, Matthew 18 proceedings, Bobby Singh offered a series of admissions. He confessed to making false statements about TGC and its members, sought forgiveness, and requested guidance from the leadership. Bobby praised TGC’s theological teachings and pledged his continued loyalty. Furthermore, he acknowledged a pattern of using social media to seek attention through misinformation, as well as the use of derogatory language toward black individuals and his peers. Consequently, the leadership instructed him to cease these behaviors and agreed to provide biblical counseling. Notably, during this Matthew 18 hearing before all TGC members, Bobby never mentioned having an issue with a legalistic style of preaching or cult-like attitudes at TGC. Instead, he praised TGC, claiming the pastor had always treated him with kindness and was never harsh behind closed doors.

V. Post Matthew 18 Details

January 9, 2026

As promised, on January 9, 2026, I contacted Bobby to discuss moving forward with biblical counseling, per his repeated requests for help. During this call, since he had previously admitted to telling certain individuals untrue things about TGC members, he was advised to inform them of his untrustworthiness. Rather than accepting this ethical and biblical advice, Bobby seemed reluctant, saying, "It was none of their business" and "I will tell them no one is perfect."

January 11, 2026

Unsurprisingly, Bobby sent me a Facebook message on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 11:40 AM—right while I was preaching—stating, in a nutshell, that he has a "weakness of appeasing people" and will not be returning to TGC. While he did not get into specifics, he said that he would be in touch about transferring his membership to another church once he finds one.

Video #21

It is evident that Bobby’s resignation aligned with his established conduct at TGC. His behavior followed a repetitive cycle: first, committing egregious offenses followed by apologies when confronted; second, appealing to the church for assistance and pledging to accept accountability; and finally, disregarding these prior commitments to persist in a pattern of mischief. This consistency suggests that his repeated requests for forgiveness were disingenuous. Although I called Bobby on January 11, 2026, to acknowledge his resignation message, I was unable to reach him.

January 12, 2026

Bobby returned my call the next day, January 12, 2026 [click here - number redacted], and we spoke for approximately one minute. I kept the discussion brief; when he began explaining his search for an assembly near his residence, I informed him that no explanation was necessary. I noted that we would contact him soon regarding his membership, and the call concluded.

Please see the phone log here [click here] as proof of my calls with Bobby on the dates mentioned.

As an autonomous, Bible-believing Baptist church, we acknowledge the right of individuals to depart from a congregation. Nevertheless, the local church bears the responsibility to appoint elders, receive members, exercise biblical discipline, and properly manage membership transfers for constituents in good standing. Because Bobby was not a member in good standing with TGC, a recommendation letter for a transfer cannot be granted. Just as a reputable organization would decline to provide a positive reference or transfer for an employee with a history of causing discord, repeated insincerity, and a failure to take accountability, a faithful church must exercise similar discretion regarding the transfer of members engaged in such conduct. Consequently, the members of TGC denied Bobby's request to transfer his membership to another church and voted unanimously to excommunicate him on January 12, 2026.

January 13, 2026

As a matter of professional courtesy, an email outlining the decision and justification for excommunication was sent to Bobby on January 13, 2026, at approximately 11:30 AM. This correspondence summarized the events of his tenure at TGC and the circumstances surrounding his Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026.

Bobby responded quickly on January 13, 2026, just a few hours after receiving his excommunication letter at approximately 3:36 PM. In this email, he made several new claims that clearly contradict his previous statements from the Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026. For instance, Bobby now claims he never lied and is actually a victim of slander. He noted that while I preach the gospel, he felt my "preaching style can sometimes come across as quite legalistic"—a critique he never mentioned to anyone at TGC prior to receiving his excommunication. While alleging he was "gaslit" and denying any "false pretenses," Bobby wrote, "I have never spoken badly or demeaningly about any member of the church," directly contradicting his previous confessions of wrongdoing. Finally, he issued a warning to the members of TGC to "be prepared to give an account." Between January 13 and 14, Bobby and I had two additional email exchanges in which I reiterated some points and he merely repeated his previous claims.

VI. Retort

In this final heading, we will address some of Bobby's social media claims from early February 2026, which appear to target TGC. It should be noted that Bobby has a documented history of disseminating misinformation on social media with impunity, frequently deleting his posts after publication. Nevertheless, several of these records have been preserved for further analysis.

In our opinion, the snippets below appear to be Bobby's grandstanding attempt to smear TGC, in which he uses social media to spread lies to garner sympathy for himself—a tactic he already admitted to during his Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026. This deceptive practice is evidenced by the polarities between his public statements to sympathizers and the facts presented below.

a. Lying to Sympathizers?!

Bobby's social media content in early February 2026 certainly garnered him the much-needed sympathizers he appeared to seek. However, these sympathizers need to ask themselves: Are Bobby's responses to them accurate? Let’s examine one early February 2026 post [click here] and its subsequent replies,

Upon reviewing these responses (click on each slide above to review), Bobby’s claims in the second slide warrant careful attention,

"...They held a Zoom meeting where I was pressured to admit to their false accusations, and I only acknowledged the truth regarding the environment becoming cold, legalistic, and unloving." (bold emphasis added).

"...During the Zoom meeting, I told them that I was not willing to confess to slandering the members with bad words, but the pastor began fabricating stories about how the members supposedly learned what I said. When I tried to explain, I stated that the only thing I confessed to was calling them legalists, and I did not make any slanderous or disparaging comments about him or any church member. I treated them with nothing but love and kindness, yet during the meeting, the pastor kept interrupting and insisted he only wanted to hear a confession of their version of the truth, not the actual events." (bold emphasis added).

In response, Bobby told his sympathizers in early February 2026 that he only acknowledged in the Zoom meeting the truth regarding the "cold, legalistic, and unloving" environment. He claimed his only confession was calling them "legalists" and denied making slanderous comments about church members. However, the evidence presented in this paper undeniably refutes these claims. During the Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026, Bobby admitted to disparaging members of TGC, struggling with lying, and repeatedly asking for forgiveness. Again, do not forget that he also admitted to using social media to spread lies and garner sympathy for attention—hear it from Bobby himself.

For the record, during the Zoom Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026, Bobby never once admitted to calling anyone at TGC a “legalist” or stressed a concern about a cold, legalistic, and unloving environment. It was quite the opposite. In his own words, Bobby said, "I'm not leaving Trinity Gospel Church, and I tell you it's my promise. I love Trinity Gospel Church." He further added that the pastor of TGC "...never compromises the truth of the gospel" [click here].

Regarding Bobby's claims of a "cold, legalistic, and unloving environment," he first informed a pastor at TGC of these allegations only after receiving the formal excommunication letter via email on January 13, 2026 [email saved in our files]. Specifically, there is no documented evidence that Bobby complained to leadership about the environment or preaching prior to receiving that letter.

It is important to clarify that 'Bobby' is an approximately 65-year-old adult, not a minor, and the pastors at TGC are unpaid volunteers who shepherd a small congregation, rather than high school educators. Furthermore, Bobby was never a paid employee of the church; therefore, the pastoral leadership did not exercise professional or financial leverage to elicit a confession. On the contrary, Bobby demonstrated a long-standing commitment to TGC, traveling over two hours round-trip weekly for several years. He consistently affirmed the church's leadership, maintaining this stance even during his Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026. However, following the issuance of his formal excommunication letter on January 13, 2026, his narrative shifted. His apparent subsequent disparagement of the congregation serves as further evidence of the necessity of the church's disciplinary action.

Bobby’s post-excommunication grievances with TGC mirror the behavior of a disgruntled employee whose affiliation with the organization was severed for cause. Much like a worker who praises an organization until their repeated misconduct and hollow apologies lead to their dismissal, Bobby only began using "proactive buzzwords" to smear the church once he was no longer a part of it—specifically, following his excommunication. In our opinion, his current hostility is not a principled stand but a melodramatic reaction to being held accountable.

b. Allegation of being a Reprobate

If leveraging victimhood for sympathy were a competitive endeavor, Bobby's February 2026 social media interactions—specifically those revealing his apparent standing as a "reprobate'" among TGC members—would mark him as a leading participant.

In response to Bobby's allegation of being regarded as a reprobate [click here]—apparently targeted at TGC members—no one at TGC has ever referred to Bobby as a reprobate. Fundamentally, unless explicitly identified in Scripture—as in the case of Judas, etc.—the identity of a reprobate today remains unknown to man. Because reprobation pertains to the eternal and sovereign decree of God, Christians cannot definitively categorize individuals today as reprobates. Instead, Scripture commands believers to proclaim the gospel to all people indiscriminately and without distinction.

Even excommunicated members of a church should never be regarded as reprobates, as the focus of this process centers on restoration, reconciliation, accountability, and prayer to God for a person's soul. God's gospel of grace produces fruit and true repentance from wickedness, even from admitted disparaging lies about a church. For example, in Bobby's excommunication letter, we informed him that "we still love you very much and will not stop praying for restoration and reconciliation if it is the Lord's will." Additionally, since Bobby has admitted to struggling with social media to spread lies, we disclosed this prayer to him: "We pray the Lord will grant you true repentance and gospel fruit, whereby He will grant you a change of mind about following the practices of the father of 'lies'" (bold emphasis added). Notice how we did not state we felt his father was the Devil, but rather prayed that God would give him a change of mind about following the practices of the Devil.

Bobby, on the other hand, has struggled to determine whether he is a reprobate and has abused the significance of the word. To explain, during his Matthew 18 hearing on January 8, 2026, via Zoom, Bobby asked, "There are times that it crossed my mind, that, why am I repeating these sinful behavioral patterns? Could it be that I could be a possible reprobate or my heart has hardened?" [click here]. Additionally, a member of TGC had to publicly correct Bobby's bad jokes about reprobates on the TGC Facebook page [click here]. Nonetheless, our church has never regarded anyone as a reprobate for disagreeing with us, and we do not believe we are the only ones who preach the gospel. Nonetheless, Bobby continues to assert otherwise, as evidenced by his social media post in late February 2026 [click here].

c. Exaggeration

On more than one occasion in his early February 2026 social media posts, Bobby apparently targets TGC by explaining that many "members" have left the church—an explanation seemingly intended to draw attention to his allegations and a clearly false statement if directed at TGC. If this allegation were directed at TGC, Bobby was lying to himself and knew better—especially since the TGC bylaws, which he agreed to before becoming a member, require members to vote on all potential members. For the record, Bobby has never voted on a candidate in an official TGC process who subsequently left TGC. It simply never happened.

For the record, TGC—a five-year-old assembly—has only had 12 members. Two of them reside in South Africa and were subsequently accepted by TGC to serve as missionaries in that country, where they have been distributing our gospel material for many years.

Although four Kentucky families attend, we also have families who travel for hours from neighboring states to be part of our congregation. The only former "member" who left is Bobby; the remaining members are still in good standing. However, excluding random visitors, only roughly three families attended for more than a year and then stopped, yet they were never official "members" of TGC.

d. Fake Persecution?!

Lastly, it seems Bobby's early February 2026 Facebook posts imply that he feels he has suffered persecution for righteousness' sake for departing from his “previous” church

If "persecution for righteousness' sake" means—according to him—attending a church for years only to be held accountable for egregious acts (such as using slurs towards black people, impugning close friends at church, posting bad theology, spreading lies on social media, and slandering members) and then resigning to transfer elsewhere, then Bobby has no clue what persecution for righteousness' sake actually means—Bible twisting at its finest!

Further commentary on Bobby's TGC remarks post-excommunication is possible; however, the information contained in this letter suffices for now.

VII. Closing

In closing, the elders at TGC had no intention of publicizing information regarding the excommunication of Gagan 'Bobby' Singh. However, due to his public comments—apparently directed at TGC—we feel compelled to respond to set the record straight. We have provided detailed information and evidence regarding his membership, disciplinary history, Matthew 18 hearing, and excommunication. This includes a response to his public claims, which appear peppered with psychological buzzwords to garner support [click here]. Nonetheless, we continue to pray for restoration and reconciliation with Bobby, according to the Lord's will.
